Texoma Country takes all the work out of building a pool. After a short initial discussion, on the phone or in our showroom, we'll come out to your home and measure your backyard. We'll assess the grades and elevations and we'll begin to "shape" the design of your new pool. Among the things we'll discuss with you are:

      - the size and shape of your new pool and spa

      - the pool depth, sport bottom or diving pool

      - the best location for maximum sun, minimum wind, optimal view, best look, maximum
                  privacy and of course, the best escape and tranquility

      - the pool's orientation to your home, the windows and doors, access to the pool, integrating
                  the design to flatter your home

      - the color and style of the pool's interior finish

      - the full range of tile, coping and decking choices

      - the selection of features including waterfalls, multi-color lighting, loveseats, a tanning bench,
                  raised walls, planters and multi-level decking

      - the use of time-saving features like remote controls and automatic cleaners and sweeps

      - slides, diving boards and covers

      - heating equipment, gas heaters, electric heat pumps, solar covers and systems

      - landscaping and fencing

      Texoma Country will offer you no pool shapes or cookie-cutter examples here, other than to show you some of the hundreds of beautiful pools we've built over our decades of experience in the business. That's because we custom-build your pool to fit your home and you. Every pool is custom. Every pool is unique. Every pool has a personality, just as yours will, from you. So, whether you like the classic Geometric shape of a rectangular pool with Grecian Ends, or a lazy natural-flowing Lagoon with local rock trim, or a magnificent magazine-cover Freeform work of art, we will design and build it just for you.

      More important, we will build it with you, with your input and your ideas. We'll ask lots of questions about your favorite styles and shapes, how each family member will use the pool, and any specific thing you'd like to see in your poolscape. We'll listen. We'll answer your questions. We'll show you styles and designs of tile, coping, decking, interior finishes, equipment, accessories and amenities. We'll discuss landscaping, soil grade and drainage and orientation of the afternoon sun. Through it all, we'll consider your budget and use our expertise to deliver the best design for your investment dollar. We'll even help with the financing.

      Then, when we've all arrived at the perfect design, Texoma Country will "construct" it all on our computer and bring you an animated, full-color, landscaped, three-dimensional image of your house, your landscaping (existing and new) and your beautiful new pool, just the way it will look when we are all done. That way, you make the final decision on the design, because after all, it belongs to you!

Step #2: Building Codes, Permits and Pre-Dig Inspections

Texoma Country takes the legwork, too, out of building a pool. We'll make sure that your pool project is built in strict adherence to all local building codes and we'll do the legwork of submitting our plans to the local authorities for review and approval. We'll obtain all the necessary permits. We'll research the locations of any gas, cable, water, sewer, electrical and telephone lines, identify them and protect them during our excavation.

Step #3: Layout of Your Pool in Your Back Yard

Our excavation specialists will carefully follow the contract and engineering plan designed by you and Texoma Country, and they'll plot out the location, shape, size and elevation of your pool in your backyard for you to see.       At this Step, before the first bit of earth is unturned, you'll enjoy your first view of how your pool will look, and of course, you'll have the opportunity to review the layout and give it your personal approval.

Step #4: Excavation

Our Excavation Specialists are experts in pool work. In fact, it is the only work they do, day in and day out. And, after constructing thousands of excavations for swimming pools in Texoma, there are no contingencies for which they're not very well and expertly prepared. In this Step, they'll remove the necessary soil to form the general shape of your pool and spa. Since mechanical earthmovers can never achieve the Texoma Country perfection, our team will hand-contour the pool walls and floor according to our plans. The pool shape will now be easy to see.

Step #5: "Tying" Steel       "Tying" steel across the bottom and sides of your new pool is both an art form and a science. It's a science of engineering where Texoma Country goes the extra step of using thicker steel than most pool builders use. That assures strength. It's an art where Texoma Country's craftsmen carefully install and lace the steel bars together with even more steel ties, and reinforce the steel bars closer together. Then, Texoma Country adds even more steel in the deep end, and at all the stress points. We do all of this to insure a solid, long-lasting construction with a strength second to none.

Step 6: The Plumbing

      Our professional plumbing crew will lay a full series of corrosion-resistant schedule-40 PVC pipes between the skimmer, main drains, return lines, accessories and equipment. They'll conduct a pressure test to prove the integrity of each connection and make sure the entire system is ready to circulate water throughout the filtration system for a sparkling-clear pool.

Step 7: The Electrical Work       Under the careful scrutiny of Texoma Country, our Texas-licensed electrical sub-contractor will install all the appropriate wiring and connect the power supply to all of your features, including heaters, timing devices, lighting sources and remote controls. All of this will be done, of course, in full accord with all state and local code requirements.

Step 8: Steel-Reinforced Concrete, "Blowing" Gunite

Once again, blowing gunite is an art best left to experienced experts. In this Step, the high-strength gunite concrete mix will be pneumatically applied with intensive pressure and depth to form a tough and solid shell around the reinforcing steel. Curves, loveseats, steps, a tanning bed and spa areas are then sculpted by our experts by hand.

Step 9: The Coping

      Unless your spa has cantilever-style decking, Texoma Country's expert coping masons will install your selection of stone, brick, rock, safety-grip or other special edging materials along your pool's bond beam, the entire top of your pool's border. This creates a strong and beautiful frame and accent for your pool and spa.

Step 10: The Tile

      Now, Texoma Country's professionals will neatly lay by hand a line of tile which you have selected from our hundreds of choices, under the edge of the coping and along the waterline. Tile work can be one of the prettiest parts of your pool, and can also be used to accent pool steps and walls or to create in-floor mosaics.

Step 11: Decking

      Once all the underground plumbing, gas and electrical lines have been inspected by the building inspector, Texoma Country's experts will begin to lay the deck as designed by you and your Texoma Country Pool Designer. This deck can reflect your personality and style from a full range of materials, colors, textures and surfaces.

Step 12: Interior Finish

      The final Step of the construction itself is the application of your choice of plaster or DiamondBrite, the industry's leading pool surface material, which provides a special smooth, long-lasting finish made with a blend of color quartz aggregate. Once the finish is applied over the gunite, we'll add water and install the rest of your accessories.

Step 13: Start-up

      The team at Texoma Country will then start the pool up, run all the systems and check everything using our exclusive, proprietary 100-point checklist. We'll computer-test your water and create a polished, crystal-clear and sparkling pool for you, ready for the most elegant entertaining or some good old-fashioned family fun. Then we'll schedule your very special and personal Pool Owner's Orientation. We'll walk and talk you through every system, taking all the time you need to become fully familiar with your new pool. We'll go over all the warranties and service needs, too. Then, we'll thank you for letting us be a part, shake your hand, and leave you and your pool to get to know one another!

Step 14: Your Turn

      Well, this really isn't a Step, per se, but then it is. It's time for you to enjoy. Take the first step onto your new deck. The first step across that pretty tile and coping and the first jump into that beautiful new pool.
